Received Honors at Entrance, Immaculate Heart College, Hollywood, CA. Received Associate of Arts Degree from Long Beach City College and was presented with the Phi Beta Kappa Delta Association of California Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award. Graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State Long Beach, receiving Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Award. Graduated from UCLA Law School with Juris Doctor degree, 1978.
2001 - Lawyer of the Year, Women Lawyers of Long Beach. President of Long Beach Bar Association 1991. First President, Women Lawyers of Long Beach 1982. Past Chair of Family Law Section of Long Beach Bar Association. Founder - Family Law Study Group, Women Lawyers of Long Beach, 1980.
In 1991, established Long Beach Courthouse Free Legal Counseling Program and the first Legal Hotline held at Long Beach Legal Aid Foundation. Frequently served as Judge Pro Tem in Long Beach courts in Traffic, Small Claims and Family Law and as Mediator in Long Beach Courthouse Family Law Mediation Program. Volunteers on Long Beach Bar Association Courthouse Guardianship Panel and Long Beach Bar Foundation's Shortstop Program.
